The New York State Change of Party Enrollment Deadline is this Sunday, February 14th.


For Broome County voters, that means one must turn their party change requests into our office on or before Friday, February 12th.


This is the deadline for party changes ahead of petitioning and June's primaries.


A changes of enrollment received by the BOE before February 14th and after June 28th is effective immediately. Any change of enrollment made between February 15-June 28th, shall be effective and their party will change on June 29th.


UPDATE - by Executive Order, the deadline was extended to the next business day, Tuesday, February 16



Broome County Board of Elections Certifies 22nd Congressional Race


State Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte on Monday decided to delay the results of the 22nd Congressional District.


Broome County followed the court rulings on challenged ballots from Broome and adjusted the results to match those rulings and then certified the Congressional race within Broome County.

Our office will close early on New Years Eve, Thursday, December 31st and be closed on Friday, January 1st in observance of New Years Day. We will reopen at 8am on Monday, January 4th.


The Broome County Office Building will continue to operate under the "Summer Hours" of 8am-5pm as part of the County's continuing COVID-19 Pandemic response until further notice.
