The Broome County Board of Elections has issued the following plan for voters for
dropping off their Absentee Ballots should they choose not to or would rather not mail their ballots back through the U.S. Postal System.
2020 General Election Absentee Ballot Drop-off Plan
In compliance with Executive Order 202.61, voters in Broome County may drop off completed absentee ballots at any one of the following locations:
1. Broome County Board of Elections Office – 2nd Fl, 60 Hawley St, Binghamton 13901
Regular Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (note the County Office Building is operating on COVID-19 "Summer" Hours through December 31, 2020).
During times polls are open for both the Early Voting period and on Election Day.
2. Any of the following Early Voting Center - during the time the polls are open:
Broome County Public Library - 185 Court St, Binghamton, NY 13901
Oakdale Mall (exterior between former Macy's & Ruby Tuesday's) - 601-635 Harry L Dr, Johnson City, NY 13790
George F. Johnson Memorial Library - 1001 Park St, Endicott, NY 13760
Taste NY Building - Cornell Cooperative Extension, 840 Upper Front Street (next to the Farmer's Market & Applebee's) in the Town of Dickinson
Saturday - October 24th (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Sunday - October 25th (12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Monday - October 26th (12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Tuesday - October 27th (12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)

3. Any Election Day Poll Site - Tuesday, November 3rd from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All Poll Sites will have signage prominently displayed outside the entrance instructing voters dropping off completed absentee ballots only to proceed directly to the check-in table to see one of the Inspectors. There will be signage at the table for “Absentee Ballot Drop-Off” and an inspector will accept the absentee ballots while recording a list of said voters for ballot transmittal verification upon receipt at the Board of Elections. All absentee ballots will be kept with the affidavit ballots behind the Inspectors table in a secure ballot bag, sealed with a tamper evident seal to be delivered to the Board of Elections upon the close of polls each night.
The New York State Board of Elections certified Federal and State Candidates on Wednesday September 9th and the Broome County Board of Elections certified County and Local candidates on Thursday, September 10th ahead of the 2020 November General Election.
Thirty-nine different ballot styles were then programmed over the weekend and completed on Monday to cover each of Broome County's 141 Election Districts.
