The Governor signed an Executive Order asking for Accessible Voting ahead of the Primary. On May 27th, the NYS Board of Elections passed Resolution 20-12 that made mandatory Accessible Absentee Voting Access for the June 23rd Primary Election.

This change allows New Yorkers who may be visually impaired or otherwise disabled and that such disability had previously prevented them from being independently able to cast a paper ballot without traveling to a Board of Election or poll site to cast a ballot through Accessible Balloting on a Voting Machine to now be able to request and cast an an accessible absentee.
