If you're running for a political office in Broome County, then you'll want to get a copy of the 2018 Running For Office Book.


The book gives you a rundown of offices up for election, what it takes to get on the ballot - signature requirements, campaign finance, and enrollment numbers. There are copies of needed forms and a list of people and party officials you may need to contact.

The Book is available in chapters or in a full pdf form on our website under the Candidate/Party page. Plus, you can get a physical copy at the Board of Elections Office, 2nd floor of 60 Hawley St, Binghamton, NY 13901.

Members of Political Parties and Notary Public's are out trying to get Candidates on Ballot!

New York's Congressional Districts

Republican incumbent Congresswoman Claudia Tenney has garnered the Republican and Conservative Party endorsements and is seeking party signatures on petitions for those lines.


While Challenger Anthony Brindisi has received the Democratic, Independence, and Working Families Party endorsements. Members of each of those parties and notaries are also collecting signatures to ensure he gets their party lines.

Signatures will be turned into Albany to the State Board of Election between April 9th and 12th.
